Speaking event at the Poinsett Club in Greenville with Hank Parker
Hank Parker, professional bass fisherman, will be the guest speaker at the Poinsett Club in
Greenville on April 25th at noon. Mr Parker has a TV show and has won multiple awards as a professional fisherman; maybe he has some tips for all you anglers out there. Dress is casual but no denim. Please let John Bryan know if you’d like to attend; jbryan2809@gmail.com. Sorry ladies, this event is for the guys only.
Hank Parker, host of "Hank Parker's Outdoor Magazine," airing on television since 1985, and co-host of "Hank Parker's Flesh and Blood," began his fishing career in 1976. He's a two-time winner of the BassMaster's Classic, the Grand Slam of Bass Fishing, and many other tournaments.
Hank's passion for the outdoors is not limited to fishing. He's been an avid hunter his whole life. He has a love for bow hunting and has completed the wild turkey Royal Slam. He's also harvested many Pope and Young whitetail deer and elk.
In 2005, Hank and his two sons, Hank Parker, Jr. and Billy Parker, began televising their hunts. "Hank Parker's Flesh and Blood" and "Hank Parker's Outdoor Magazine" are currently airing on the Outdoor Channel. Over the years, Hank has been honored by being inducted into the Bass Fishing Hall of Fame, the Legends of the Outdoors Hall of Fame, and the International Game Fish Association Hall of Fame.

Corvette Mountain Cruise
Join fellow Corvette owners & car enthusiasts for a 2 day (1 night hotel stay) cruise immediately following the Spring Corvettes @ Keowee event on April 27th, 2024. We will depart together at 1 PM and head up historic Moonshiner 28 from Seneca all the way to the Tail of the Dragon. This is a 3 hour/120 mile drive through Highlands & Franklin, NC on our way to Deals Gap, NC (start of The Dragon). Two 15 minute breaks enroute to the Dragon are planned. We’ll drive the Dragon once, then take a break on the TN end along Chillhowee Lake. There is parking for some 40+ cars so plenty of space before driving the Dragon again to arrive at our hotel that evening around 6 PM.
Lodging and dinner that night will be at the Historic Tapoco Lodge in Robbinsville, NC that’s located along the scenic Cheoah River. It’s nearly 100 years old and is an excellent place to dine & stay the night as it’s situated on 120 acres in the Nantahala National Forrest. There is a nice restaurant onsite at Tapoco Lodge where we will have dinner and hangout for the evening.
EACH person MUST call Tapoco Lodge to reserve your room.
Visit www.tapoco.com for additional details on this picturesque location for our lodging & dining.
The following morning we can depart as a group for those wanting to return directly to the Seneca area with an option for those wanting some additional mountain cruising to hit the beautiful & very nice cruising road known as the Cherohala Skyway. The Cherohala group should plan a late afternoon arrival back in the Seneca area.
This is a ride with fellow Corvette enthusiasts that you will NOT want to miss so book your room and mark your calendars for a fantastic weekend of fun next April.
Any questions feel free to contact Rod Halsell 901-240-0446 or email @ rbhalsell@yahoo.com
** This is not a race and we encourage everyone to drive safely, enjoy the roads and follow all laws.
